My Cesarean Is Causing Long Term Problems
Learn about a woman who feels that her previous C-section has caused a large amount of her excessive discharge.
Case #: 1238
Concern:
After my c-section operation I've had severe discharge, two years later, I am still numb in several areas of my lower abdomen. I don't know if maybe I had something wrong with me before I had the baby, or if something caused by the c-section has ruined my vagina causing weird discharge.
Discussion:
A higher level of vaginal discharge is actually a pretty common occurrence for women who've delivered by C-section. Women experience this reaction because during a cesarean, the blood circulation and nerves that lead to the uterus are severed. This results in an enlarged vagina and can cause the clitoris to become desensitized and damaged by shrinking and scaring.
Excessive Discharge
During the process of a cesarean delivery the sensory nerves of vagina are removed. Sometimes these nerves grow back, though it usually takes a few years for the nerves to connect once again. However, if they don't, the release of oxytocin will no longer be completely controllable. Oxytocin is what fuels female lubrication and proper orgasm responses.
The body will then begin to over compensate for the lack of oxytocin control by allowing the hypothalamus-pituitary gland, to release an abundant amount of hormones such as progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone. This is most likely why your body is producing such a large amount of vaginal discharge.
Better Healing
After a C-section, a woman's uterus will be left with surgical scars that can deter proper blood circulation and shrinks the packing capacity of sex hormones. While we sleep, sex hormones are produced and kept in the uterus for later use. Theoretically, a woman should try to have intercourse in the morning if she's had a C-section, because her hormone levels in the blood stream and the uterus are at their peak height of the day.
You may increase blood circulation to the damaged vaginal and uterine nerves by massaging your lower abdomen twice a day for about ten minutes. You should focus on the pubis and the area located mid way, between the belly button and the clitoris.
Herbal Help
I would also suggest utilizing a natural remedy with ingredients that include herbs such as Dong Quia, Pyrola, Maca, Cornus, and Catuaba. In addition to improving blood circulation to the vagina, clitoral, and G-spot tissues, these herbs will also repair any damaged sensory nerves and receptors. (TRY: Herbal Remedy for Vaginal and Clitoral Regeneration) Dong Quia, Cornus, and Maca are also great for increasing a woman's sex drive, and increasing vaginal and clitoral sensitivity.
It is important to act now aggressively, while the problem is only focused on the abnormal wetness. If the situation isn't addressed as soon as possible it could lead to other symptoms such as constipation, pelvic pain, depression, panic attacks, intercourse pain, or frequent urination.
