Night of the Living Sex – The Horrors of Inexperience
Remember your first time? Maybe you were in the backseat of an old maroon Nissan Sentra, or quietly (and nervously) fooling around with your girlfriend in your bedroom while your unsuspecting parents watched television downstairs. Most of us would define our first time using words like “awkward,” “scary” and probably “short.”

I recently received an email from one poor guy who can certainly relate, and his story contains a familiar narrative for sexual newbies. I'm referring, of course, to the scourge of premature ejaculation. Here is the gist of his message:

This is kind of an awkward question, but im not really sure where else to turn. Basically im a college freshman, just moved out on my own, and im kind of playing the field, I guess you'd say. I was never sexually active in high school because my parents are pretty conservative and they kept me on sort of a short leash.

I just started having sex with this girl, and well, it really hasn't been that much fun. I mean, I don't have any experience and the whole thing is just terrifying. Last time I came after 5 minutes, and that was with using all my will power. The whole thing is just so nerve wracking. Do you have any advice?

1, 2, 3, Finished

If this story hits close to home for you the reader, it should come as no surprise. Premature ejaculation is a very common side effect of sexual inexperience. You're extremely nervous, you're sweating, and your body is releasing a cocktail of stress hormones.

Those hormones interfere with your Parasympathetic Nervous System, causing you to burst forth like water from a broken sprinkler. The solution then is to get the stress under control, and get the parasympathetic nerves back in working order. Nerve restoration is fairly simple with the right remedy, but stress management is a bit trickier.

There are a number of ways to overcome the jitters of sexual inexperience. You could just keep practicing, but your partner might lose patience before long. A woman's vagina can be pretty stubborn when it comes to orgasms.

You're not going to send her to sexual Paradise in three minutes, no matter how good you think your moves are. It may help to talk to your partner, express that you're relatively inexperienced, and then the two of you can work together to overcome the stress.

If you're too embarrassed to confide that sort of information, you can talk to another trusted individual—such as a longtime friend—or a counselor. Finally, just remember that everyone gets nervous during sex, especially when there's a new partner involved. Just enjoy it, try to stay in the moment, and don't be so hard on yourself.

The Parasympathetic Nervous System – The Friend and Enemy of Ejaculation
When it comes to restoring the parasympathetic nerves, stress management is the first step. You need to get the stress hormones under control in order to ensure healthy hormonal balance. If you masturbate frequently, try to cut back, because excess masturbation will create an abundance of inflammatory hormones and inflame the prostate (both of which exacerbate the problem).

If necessary, visit your local tattoo parlor and have one of the artists tattoo the following words on your penis: “Fragile – Handle with Care.” Okay, so maybe that's not the ideal solution, but you get the idea. Finally, there are some herbal concoctions that can restore the parasympathetic nerves.

Herbs like Astragalus Complanatus, Cornus Officinalis, Atractylodes Macrocephala and Passion Flower have been shown to repair the cellular activity of these important nerves (SEE: Climax control herbs). Whatever it takes, get it done. If you can't make her climax, someone else will.
