How to Overcome Masturbation Addiction - Just like drugs, alcohol and food, Masturbation can be troublingly addictive

Masturbation addiction is something of a taboo topic – it’s embarrassing! It’s difficult enough to talk about masturbation itself, but admitting to having a problem with it? That’s tough. Luckily, it’s an obsession that can be overcome – quietly.
The first step to getting better is to simply reduce masturbation and ejaculation frequency and try to overcome the habit. Many young men with symptoms that are common among people who suffer from over masturbation are so scared of the connection to their addiction they immediately stop. While recovery time greatly depends on various factors, it’s important to heed a few necessary steps.

Of course - it’s pretty self-explanatory - you should stop masturbating so frequently! After you do that, and maintain a manageable two/three times a week, you need to balance your hormone levels and replenish your body of the nutrients you have lost. This will not only re-energize you, it will also improve your concentration and motor functioning.
Keep in mind that it usually takes between two to four months to really reach a state of recovery. Just because you are recovered, it doesn’t mean you can just go back to masturbating excessively or engaging in excessive sexual activity. Also, you may want to change your habits. Improve your diet and exercise more. Focus on nutty foods like sunflower seeds, and peanuts and eat more seafood, seaweed, and vegetables. Also, try to minimize red meat and dairy product intake. Instead of soda, try drinking orange or cranberry juice and, of course, drink plenty of water. Engaging in cardiovascular exercises at least two times a week, eliminating stressful sources in your life is also recommended. Don’t smoke, and if you do, try to quit or at least cutback. Be sure to keep alcohol intake to a minimum.

As you can see, masturbation is very damaging if done excessively. But it can also be a source of pleasure and knowledge.
