All Men Want Is Sex; They Think About It All Day
“All men want is sex; they think about it all day.” Given all the misguided sexual mythology out there, it’s hard to believe men can get to a point where they no longer desire sex in general, as opposed to with just one partner. But it’s true; a weak libido in men is the primary culprit for many relationship problems.

Testosterone is what stimulates a man’s sexual desire and aging lowers the level of testosterone in men, thus lessening their appetite for sex. But there are several other factors that can determine a man’s testosterone level other than age, subjecting even young men to low levels of testosterone.

Happening To Young Adult Too?
Now who would believe a young man in his prime would have no sexual appetite? Sexual exhaustion, prescription drugs, genetic disorder and a variety of other chronic problems can cause low levels of testosterone, depleting men of their sexual desire, regardless of age.

Exhausting the urge for sex isn’t the only psychological effect low testosterone has on men, though.  It can cause depression and mood swings as well. Testosterone affects hair growth, skin cells, body composition such as bone density and muscle mass, and low levels of testosterone can change men’s body shape, causing obesity. Low testosterone can lead to more complications such as erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, diabetes and fatigue. It is also linked to other conditions that can cause male menopause.

Normal Level of Testosterone
Testosterone, in essence, affects every aspect of human physiology.  So it is crucial testosterone levels are relatively balanced for a healthy sex life. The fundamental way to maintain a healthy sex life is to simply maintain a healthy lifestyle, such as nutritious diet, constant exercise and moderate smoking and drinking if you must.

Herbal supplements are effective for regaining a healthy sexual appetite. There are several herbal blends that include the necessary ingredients to help stimulate your libido; ingredients such as Catuaba and Ashwagandha, which is also called the “libido ginseng," are particularly efficient in assisting the body to produce more testosterone. Other helpful ingredients include Cnidium, Damiana, Curculigo, Shilajit, Ashwagandha, Cuscuta, Cynomorium and Fo Ti.

Other Options
Many doctors recommend testosterone replacement therapy, particularly if low testosterone is a problem for a couple trying to reproduce. Therapy consists of a set of options for patients.  Either they can opt for an intra-muscular injection every two weeks, oral tablets, testosterone patches or testosterone gel. Either option will restore a man’s testosterone level but you have to watch out for the side effects.

If you find yourself less stimulated about sex than in the past, don’t let your woman feel like she’s no longer able to stir up your passion. You are just not producing enough testosterone, so take advantage of the remedies and rekindle the intimacy in your relationship.
