“You’re finished ALREADY?!” - Informal look at the complex relationship between early ejaculation and stress.

It’s easy to believe that all men have suffered from premature ejaculation (PE) at least once in their lives, right? We’ve all been there – we put it in, and, oops… it just happens! We finish before she even gets started. But does it really “just happen”? Is it really that simple? Or, is there in fact an underlying cause? And if so, is it treatable?

I mean, we’ve all heard the endless succession of jokes pertaining to the inability to last during sex, haven’t we? In movies, on TV… during personal attacks from former loved ones… it must be pretty common, right?

Actually, it is.

Conservative estimates are that about thirty percent of all men suffer from premature ejaculation. That’s almost a third of the male population! Sure, that’s a disappointment for the ladies, but this statistic should comfort anyone who is humiliated by the condition. They’re not alone. Still, they’d probably like to be rid of it. So let’s get to the primary roots of the problem - stress and anxiety.

You’re probably aware of what causes your stress. It’s the result of all the surprises, sorrows, and pain you may experience. Common incitements include school, work, and relationships. But it’s more than just an emotional byproduct; it contributes to physical wear and tear and manifests sexual dysfunction. And that sucks.

Stress and anxiety trigger a series of changes in the brain’s chemistry that alarm the endocrine and nervous systems to initiate ‘anxiety mode’. This is by design. Our bodies address such challenges via chemical reactions, which lead to a quickened heart rate and increased blood sugar and adrenalin. It’s to provide more energy to enable us to combat the sources of our stress. Nerves get excited and overworked. Men in this state will enter a sex encounter with a very strong desire to climax as soon as possible. Not so much because they ‘just want to get it over with’, they just really need the release!

Ironically, the fear of an inability to last during sex will also induce anxiety, which is why physicians prescribe anti-depressants or anti-anxiety meds when treating PE. The result often serves to complicate the original problem; such drugs cause their own sexual dysfunctions. We all know “someone” who said they couldn’t get it up because of drugs!

What’s crazy is, PE involves a complex interaction of psychological and biological factors and can actually be a LEARNED behavior! Who would’ve thought? But sexual experiences early in life could have established unhealthy patterns, such as hurrying to reach climax in order to avoid being caught in the embarrassing act of masturbation. Remember, “What’re you doing in there? Open the door!”? If you don’t, consider yourself lucky!

A tendency to rush through sexual encounters may also be a subconscious attempt to avoid anxiety over maintaining an erection. So, yes - there are those who have responded to their stress by actually subconsciously training themselves to ejaculate early.

Depending on one’s virility, PE may be avoided or treated in a number of ways. Perhaps the most practiced is the strategy of masturbating before a potential sexual encounter. After all, you can’t go out there like a loaded gun! Unload some of that ammo! A previous depletion of semen will naturally aid a man to last longer. Repeat as needed.

Plus, if you’re willing to try anything, there’s a Traditional Chinese Remedy that many people swear by. It’s called the Dragon Bone Magic herbal formula. It has an almost mystic reputation for calming anxiety and quelling fear. It’s specifically designed for men who suffer from a combination of premature ejaculation and anxiety during sex. Basically, it’s a natural tranquilizer that improves blood circulation to the penis, reduces stress, and curbs anxiety. It’s pretty cool.

So, don’t sweat PE. Heck, most of the time, you’ll just grow out of it!
