An over-looked oddity is the truth that excessive masturbation can cause vision problems in the form of eye floaters. When a man engages in excessive sexual activity or masturbation, he can develop a disorder of the retina (the inner layer of the eye where the rod and cone light receptors are located). The retina contains many inter-neurons that process optical signals before passing them back to the brain. It is possible for an orgasm to induce excessive glutamate into the retina, photoreceptors, and nervous synapse, causing the retinal circuitry to age and experience complications such as eye floaters.
 
Generally due to oxidative stress, eye floaters are inflammatory disorders caused by the deficiency of elements such as Nitric Oxide in the rod visual sensory nerves.  Coincidentally, identical deficiencies occur in cases of nervous erectile disorder.  For that reason, this type of retina problem can be brought on by over-masturbation or over-ejaculation. If a man ejaculates daily or even multiple times a day, he could over-stimulate his nervous system. Such a reaction could contribute to sexual dysfunctions. Impotence, weak erections, and premature ejaculation… all can result from sexual exhaustion and the depletion of critical neurotransmitters and hormonal imbalances. These depletions can result in eye inflammation disorder and the formation of floaters.
 
In technical terms, the adverse affects on the visual circuitry from over-masturbation/over-ejaculation or excessive orgasm are due to the abnormal release of glutamate in the photoreceptors and its slow removal from the retinal visual nervous synapse. The over-draining of Vitamin A and minerals due to the constant sperm and semen production process related to over-masturbation lead to the deficiency of the neurotransmitters Dopamine, Acetylcholine, Serotonin and GABA as well as a innate dopamine-adrenalin conversion associated with excessive dilation of the pupils. 
 
If you suffer from eye floater problems and believe they are the result of your own excessive sexual or masturbatory activity, don’t worry. Very rarely is an eye floater problem significant enough to really impair vision. But if you find yourself surprised by the sudden appearance of a floater and mistake it for an actual object, driving a vehicle is not recommended. Either way, you must take the necessary steps to alleviate the symptoms. First, reduce the frequency of masturbation. If possible, discontinue the activity for a few weeks. Let your body rest and replenish itself. Try not to return to the practice with the same urgency. A healthier habit is to masturbate and ejaculate a total of three to four times a week.
 
Meanwhile, whenever possible, massage the area around your eyes and rub them with your palms, keeping the warmth on the eyelids to relieve strain and tiredness of the eyes. Exercise the eyes by moving them up and down, left and right, and in a clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. You may further relieve the eye floater condition by modifying your diet. Add foods that contain high quantities of rutin, zinc, and copper. Eat lots of herbs and foods that contain lutein and zeaxanthin (from marigold flowers) as they protect against oxidation stress and help maintain the structural integrity of the macula inside the retina.
