The Big Stink – Balanitis Causing a Swollen, Smelly Member

We live in a pretty crazy society these days, don’t we? In today’s modern society it seems you can’t walk more than a few blocks without seeing some form of advertising, whether it is a magazine cover, bus stop splash ad, or flyer. And driving is even worse; you’re constantly bombarded by ads in the form of movie posters, billboards for some clothing line or another, and the like. I remember wondering to myself how long it would have taken people from my grandparent’s generation to burn such a sleazy ad to the ground. Probably not that long.
Sex is supposed to be sexy. The negative repercussions from having sex? Meh…not too sexy. For instance, it seems like for every hundred or so “sexy” ads there seems to maybe one promoting Planned Parenthood, or the use of prophylactics.
I’m going to take a shot in the dark here…a wild guess…and say that having a smelly, abnormally swollen penis head is probably very un-sexy. Such a condition (balanitis) can occur when too much dead skin, sweat, old semen, or bacteria collects on the penis (smegma), especially for men who haven’t been circumcised. This can also be the result of a yeast infection (thrush) which may involve symptoms such as irritated, blotchy rashes that also may itch, as well as a really bad and potentially embarrassing penile stench. Far more women carry yeast infections than men, and can pass it over to men by having unprotected sex, which is why many more men than boys end up suffering from this disorder. So what do you do once you think you may have balanitis?

Firstly, if you think you may be suffering from balanitis, consult your physician immediately. Do not wait to see if it “clears up,” and goes away; things can get much worse if not addressed right away.
