Clit Cramps

She has been using her vibrator for clitoral orgasms for three months now and has begun having lower back cramps and pain in her pelvic area. She has also been having issues with incontinence, and her clitoris feels oversensitive. What is going on with her body?
Case #: 1408
Concern:

I have been using a vibrator on my clitoris for about 3 months now and have been coming up with some problems. The last month the muscles in my lower back and pelvic area have gotten so sore I could hardly walk. Then I started urinating very frequently at least 30 times a day. Now my clitoris is overly sensitive and it makes me feel like I have to pee all the time when I don’t have to. It is driving me crazy. Could the use of the vibrator make my muscles tight and make my clitoris feel this way? I need some help.
Discussion:

It definitely does sound as though your vibrator usage has triggered some underlying issues. It’s not commonly known that the muscles in a female’s lower back are linked to female reproductive nerves, and your cramping after orgasm suggest that you’re having a negative response to the stimulation of your clitoral nerves by the overproduction of prostaglandins.
Hold and Release

The problem is because during arousal the muscles of your lower back, thighs, buttocks, and abdomen clench. Much of the blood in the body is routed to the reproductive area. Upon orgasm, the clenching and releasing of your uterus, anus, and other reproductive organs returns the blood to the rest of your body, whilst prostaglandins flood your body.
The extended contraction of your muscles is surely what’s made your lower back and pelvic muscles sore. The prostaglandins are certainly also having an effect. Prostaglandin E2 stimulates arousal and the production of norepinephrine. However, this prostaglandin is an irritant to many body systems, and it sounds as though you might be especially sensitive to it.
A Problem Prostaglandin

Prostaglandin E2, as the promulgator of norepinephrine, stimulates a “fight or flight” response in the body. This causes muscle tension and nervous strain. The longer those irritants are present in the body, the more physically stressed the body becomes. This is the soreness present in your lower back and pelvic area. The presence of these chemicals is also irritating your bladder, which is causing you to feel a frequent need to urinate.
Your clitoris is feeling ultra sensitive due to the nature of these prostaglandins as well. You’re probably experiencing a more intense reaction at the point of contact, because prostaglandin E2 is also formed in response to pain or abrasion. That’s what your body sees vibrator usage as, and has responded by creating even more chemicals.
This prostaglandin creates a “bruise” response by causing vasodilation and inflammation in the area. This is the ultra sensitivity you’re feeling; your clitoris is flooded with blood and your nerves are on high alert.
Ease Your Pain

In order to remove these irritating side effects, you must remove the presence of the excess prostaglandins. There is a quick fix for this, and a long-term solution. Aspirin and ibuprofen control the production of all prostaglandins, so while they can be used to solve your problems for a short while, they shouldn’t be used exclusively.
You need to increase your body’s ability to detoxify itself of these irritants, and to calm your body’s reaction when they do arise. In order to do this, I’m recommending a specific herbal formula for soothing and stabilizing your feminine reproductive area. (TRY: Herbal Formula for Vaginal Restoration and Sensitivity Enhancer) It contains purifying herbs such as Dong Quai. Cistanche, and Cnidium. It also contains hormone balancers such as Mexican Wild Yam, which help your body to more efficiently process prostaglandins and hormones alike. Mucuna Pruriens gives your body a positive neurotransmitter boost—helping to counteract the effects of the prostaglandins.
I’m sure that by beginning this helpful remedy, you will soon see an end to your excess urination, and your painful muscles and clitoral sensations. I wish you luck!
