A Tipped Uterus Causes a Seesaw of Pain Rather than Pleasure

At 20 years old, she struggles to orgasm because of pain during sex. The source of her pain is a tipped uterus, which in and of itself causes only symptoms - not health problems. To help her enjoy sex, we recommend trying new positions in bed and taking an herbal restorex formula.

Case #: 1472

Concern:

I have learned my uterus is tilted, and my symptoms show it. I have had air bubbles in my vagina from time to time, causing vaginal farts. I am 20 years old and now this is causing me to have difficulty reaching orgasm. When I have sex, it is at times painful. Can you please help me with this? Thank you.

Discussion:

At first glance, it doesn’t seem like the uterus would have anything to do with a woman’s sexual pleasure. In normal circumstances, the only role this organ has during intercourse is to facilitate an orgasm – nerves from the clitoris and vagina extend throughout the pelvic region, meaning they run through the uterus. Once a woman reaches orgasm, the uterus contracts along with many other muscles in the body.

What You Need to Know About a Tipped Uterus

Normal circumstances are those in which the uterus sits in a nearly perfect vertical position. Located behind the bladder, it is contained in the pelvic activity between the fallopian tubes. The uterus is small, pear-shaped and hollow. Each month during the menstrual cycle, its lining fills with tissues and blood cells to support the growth of a fertilized egg. That lining – known as the endometrium – is shed with menstruation.

Approximately 20 percent of women have a tipped or tilted uterus, in which the organ tilts away from the vagina rather than toward it. A number of reasons can explain why this happens, including genetics in which the uterus fails to move forward as a woman matures. Childbirth, scar tissue, endometriosis and fibroids can also move the uterus so it tilts toward the back of the body rather than the front.

A tipped uterus rarely causes health problems. Previously this condition was believed to cause infertility, but many doctors today do not see a correlation. A tipped uterus in women who do become pregnant usually rights itself within the first trimester.

The Bearing on Sex

Having said that, a retroflexed uterus can cause symptoms absent of health implications – particularly pain during menstruation and intercourse. The ovaries and fallopian tubes usually are tilted with the uterus. In turn, pelvic ligaments stretch and vaginal length decreases so it becomes possible for a penis head to hit numerous tender structures during sex – including the uterus and cervix. This causes pain because these are not sexual organs.

In order to fully understand, you must know the vagina is connected to the uterus by the cervix. The cervix is in fact the “neck” of the uterus. When the uterus is tilted back, it and other organs become more vulnerable to “butting” or touching during intercourse. This is the source of the pain you currently experience.

Find Relief in New Positions and Herbal Remedies

None of this means you cannot enjoy sex or that lovemaking is out of the question. Rather, the goal is to find a comfortable but stimulating position. Those to avoid include doggie-style and woman-on-top; both allow for deeper vaginal penetration, which makes it easier for the penis to bump other organs.

An often safe but slightly vanilla position is missionary – it allows you greater control of how deep he can penetrate and reduces the likelihood that his penis will hit your uterus. Try to refrain from vigorous or strenuous sex that can tear ligaments with a tipped uterus. Also experiment with other ways to satisfy yourself and your partner, such as oral sex or fondling. And take your time with foreplay so you’re sufficiently aroused for intercourse.

Last but not least, a restorex herbal formula minimizes the symptoms of a tipped uterus. Blended with herbs like Black Cohosh and Dong Quai, this formula can repair damaged tissue and improve clitoral sensitivity. (TRY: Natural Herbal Formula for Female Health & Wellness) It also increases arousal and orgasm quality so you experience the best that sex has to offer.
