Suffering from Chronic Yeast Infection, Weight Gain, and Excessive White Vaginal Discharge After Using Birth Control Patch

It all started with using birth control patch. I started getting a white vaginal discharge. Then I got yeast infection again, right before my period. Repeat cycle of yeast infection medication, white vaginal charge, and infection re-appearing is driving me nuts.

Case #: 39672

Concern:

About 4 months ago, I had taken antibiotics drugs for my tooth infection at the same time that I started birth control patch. Since then, I started having yeast infection which still happening now. During this time, I took the 7-day medication for the yeast infection. It had seemed to be cleared for a while, but unexpectedly I started getting a white vaginal discharge. Then I got yeast infection again, right before my period. Repeat cycle of yeast infection medication, white vaginal charge, and infection re-appearing is driving me nuts. When I have just the white vaginal discharge it does not itch, nor does it feel irritated, but it does feel a bit different especially when having sex. I think my clitoris is numb. Worst of all, I gained 18 pounds in the last 3 months. I just can’t get it off no matter of diet control and exercising.

Discussion:

Yes, birth control may be the cause of all your symptoms. Furthermore, your use of antibiotics have exacerbated the problem. Antibiotics kill your body's good bacteria, making you more susceptible to future infection.

Hormone-based birth control emulates a pregnancy state by flooding the brain with excessive progesterone and/or estrogen, so that your brain will think you are pregnant and then shut down your ovarian function. This results in excessive progesterone or estrogen in the uterus and cervix. When the liver fails to detoxify the excessive hormones and to fully support the synthesis of the neurotransmitters dopamine, acetylcholine and serotonin, you may suffer from depression, low libido and orgasmic dysfunction.

In either condition, the clitoris and G-spot will shrink as a result of a severe deficiency of the androgen hormones androstenedione, free testosterone and DHT. Thyroid function may slow, leading to weight gain weight with more fat cells in the belly and hips.

Progestin in hormone-based birth control generally causes a heavy vaginal discharge, due to the over-stimulation of the cervix by excessive progesterone. The artificial hormones Progestin and Conjugated Estrogen can cause spotting from the uterine lining. When the spotting is very small, it will stay inside the vagina and mix with cervical mucus. When the spotting blood is oxidized, the resulting vaginal discharge becomes dark black or brown, depending on the quantity of the spotting blood and the duration it was trapped inside. If it is trapped for too long, yeast can change its color to black or produce a bad smell.

To avoid vaginal yeast infection due to excessive prostaglandin E2, vaginal immunity has to be maintained by counterbalancing PEG-2 with prostaglandin E1, an anti-inflammatory hormone which helps vaginal and urethral erection. Try Vaginal Relief & Detoxification Formula to boost liver function for detoxification of the uterus, cervix and vagina and boost neuro-immunity to prevent yeast outbreak. Once your liver function has improved, it will also help to restore back your thyroid function helping you to reverse the weight gain problem. Yeastaway Vaginal Suppositories contains Calendula, Borax, Hydrastis and other homeopathic ingredients to combat infection.

Also supplement with lactobacillus cultures, a type of good bacteria that's common in your vagina. Combined solutions provide a fast relief to break away from your vicious cycle of chronic infection.
