Putting the Men in Menopause
Male Menopause (also known as Andropause, Climacteric, Male Climacteric Syndrome, or Viropause) is a relatively new term. For many years, it was very difficult to research. Men who experienced sexual repercussions were reluctant to acknowledge the condition. Older men often shy away from discussing premature ejaculation problems with their doctors. Herbal remedies containing powerful herbs such as Cuscuta, Cistanche, and Cndium help regain control where it matters most.
Causes
A recent study surveyed 1700 middle-aged men and found that 51 percent of normal, healthy males ages 40 to 70 experienced some degree of sexual problems -including persistent problems attaining and maintaining an erection.
Research showed that more than 30 percent of those seniors with low testosterone and premature ejaculation problems experienced hormonal regulation problems caused by the Hypothalamic Anterior Pituitary-Testicular axis. Many middle-aged men reported lower levels of DHEA and HGH as well.[1]
These conditions often go untreated, mostly because of a number of men who do not report their problems. Researchers even found an association of Premature Ejaculation and Male Menopause due to the hormonal change occured around age 45 and above.
Symptoms
The symptoms of male menopause can be linked to penile shrinkage, difficulty maintaining erections, and premature ejaculation. Unlike its female counterpart, menopause, Male menopause does not affect all men. Only 40 percent of men in their 40s, 50s, and 60s experience some degree of lethargy, depression, irritability, and trouble in attaining and sustaining erections.
In other rare circumstances, outside of simply aging, Male Menopause can affect men in their early 20s.
Male Menopause can also achieve something of a snowball effect. In these cases, a man can experience anxieties and doubts, which can lead to impotence and increased sexual frustration.
In Addition to Aging, Male Menopause and Low Testosterone can Also be Caused By:
- Stress
- Poor diet and lack of exercise
- Prescription and non-prescription medications
- Excessive masturbation
- Psychological problems
- Hormone deficiencies
- Excessive alcohol consumption
- Smoking
- Hypertension
- Poor blood circulation
Other symptoms that are sometimes linked with old age, but can also be attributed to the negative effects of Male Menopause, include back pain and joint pain in the ankles, knees, shoulders and wrists.
The Verdict
Many doctors have varying opinions on Male Menopause. Most doctors focus their attention on Impotence (unsustain erections) instead of premature ejaculation. A general decline in male potency at midlife can be expected in a significant portion of the male population. Though there is very little that can be done about getting older, there are certainly things that can be done to fight the symptoms of aging. Taking prescription drugs or natural remedy are the realistic choices, but almost all medications include side effects. The result of natural remedy, such as Cuscuta herbal formula or herbal tincture, can help balance DHEA and HGH levels necessary to prevent a premature ejaculation and to power a man's sex drive.
