He was experiencing penis shrinkage and softer erections due to excess masturbation. If you didn't know that masturbation could contribute to these kinds of symptoms, read on and learn the facts.

Case #:

When I have spontaneous erections sometimes (usually in morning) my penis gets almost painful hard and I don’t even have to get myself aroused. But the erection is a lot smaller than normal. Very thin, and the head is not filled up. Why is this?

The good news it that millions of guys would kill to achieve a rock hard, throbbing penis. The bad news, of course, is the diminishing size and uneven blood flow (there's always a catch, isn't there?). It sounds like your problem may be a bit “hands on,” if you catch my drift. Assuming you're a young, healthy guy with a functioning prostate and a strong beating heart, your penis shrinkage and insufficient blood flow are almost certainly the result of lifestyle factors.
Penis Shrinkage – A Complex Issue
If masturbation is a persistent and ever-present part of your everyday life, there are several processes at work. For starters, the constant penile abuse causes injuries to occur. That doesn't mean that masturbation is bad, necessarily. It just means that too much of any activity can have consequences.
For instance, if you spend too much time lifting weights, you're going to cause serious muscle damage, and your penis is far more sensitive than any bicep. When it comes to masturbation, the injuries come as a result of physical stress, as well as inflammation from hormones like prostaglandin E-2 and DHT.
The real problem, though, occurs during the healing process (as if penile inflammation wasn't problematic enough). Inelastic car tissue emerges, and this prevents the arteries in the penis from expanding to their maximum size for an erection. Additionally, you experience plaque buildup, which inhibits the flow of blood.
As a result, your penis shrivels to the size of a raisin and your erections experience insufficient and uneven blood flow. Depressed yet? Well, take heart. These problems are treatable even in the severe stage.
Raising the Flag
There are a number of herbal treatments that help dissolve plaque and restore healthy blood circulation. (SEE: Penile Shrinking Damage Rejuvenation) Cistanche, Morinda Root,Epimedium, Avena Sativa and Schizandra are just a few examples of herbs that can help you with both your size and softness issues, by boosting important hormones and chemicals (such as testosterone, HGH and nitric oxide), accelerating blood flow to the penis, and stimulating the Corpus Spongiosum (penis sponge tissues) for improved blood retention during erection.
Try one of these remedies for yourself, and experience throbbing erections that actually look and feel like throbbing erections. Most importantly, take it easy on the masturbation. We all know how good it feels, but if you turn it into a full-time job, your workers are going to suffer some serious loss in productivity.

Could it also be because the erection wasn't forcefully there? Like you didn't want the erection for a reason such as wanting to have sex or masturbate. It just naturally happened so it is understanding on why it wouldn't be at 100% fully erect. I bet if you gave it a little bit of effort, that erection would be as strong as ever.
