Administered after a diagnosis of prostate cancer or BPH, surgery serves as a suitable option for alleviating pain and discomfort of the prostate. While prostate surgery can allay pain, it too can create other side effects, including erectile dysfunction, dry orgasms, and retrograde ejaculation. Because the prostate gland produces the white, alkaline fluid for semen, men can often experience retrograde ejaculation or a “dry orgasm” in which either semen shoots back and into the urethra or no semen is released after an ejaculation.
