Tribulus

Botanical Names:  Ji Li, Tribulus Terrestris, Tribulus Fructus, Puncturevine, Caltrop Cathead, Yellow Vine, Goathead, Burra Gokharu, Bindii

Harvested in China, India and Bulgaria, Tribulus remains a popular sexual herb, as well as a urinary tract and prostate healer. The Indians refer to it as Gokshura, which means power and strength. Because of the saponin located inside Tribulus, men can produce and release more testosterone into the blood stream without any side effects. The
improved testosterone levels may eliminate erectile dysfunction and low sex drive problems.

Some men claim the herb improves fantasies, giving them sexual self-confidence while reducing both fear of intimacy and performance anxiety. Psychologically, Tribulus helps men enjoy sex again and prolongs the duration of intercourse. Tribulus also helps stimulate sperm production while increasing the sperm quality in terms of motility and survival time.

Tribulus has been known to increase the production of Luteinizing Hormone, a hormone believed to increase testosterone. For middle-aged women, Follicle Stimulating Hormone increases dramatically, peaking a few years after menopause and staying high afterward. High FSH levels result in a low ratio of FSH to L.H. When a low FSH-to-LH ratio occurs, L.H.  does not have the ability to increase testosterone, resulting in a low sex drive. By consuming Tribulus, the levels of L.H. to FSH are naturally stabilized to produce more testosterone.
