Menopause Is Not Working For Me

Learn about a woman whose vaginal dryness is getting in the way of her otherwise amazing sex life.
Case #:955

I am 53, and I have always had a great sex life with my husband. I have gone through menopause in the last year and my sex life is awful. I am dry, I have no desire and cannot orgasm with my husband. Oral sex was giving me an orgasm for a while but now it is not. We are both sexually active and that is not doing much either. I am so frustrated and my husband does not understand why I am not all over him. I love sex with my husband. My brain tells me yes, but my body is not cooperating. I feel afraid of never having an orgasm again. After sex, I am uncomfortable down there. Please help. I think menopause has done some terrible things to me.

At some point all of us women will go through it. The lucky few will slip past the hot flushes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness without even the faintest flash of heat. The rest of us however, will not be so lucky.=
“The Change”

It may seem like there's no light at the end of the tunnel now, but after we really begin to understand what exactly is happening to our bodies, a plan of action can start to form. The important thing to remember is that this is a perfectly natural part of life that you are experiencing now. You are not alone in this.
What Is Happening To Me

Most likely, when you menstruated for the first time you had a lot of questions. Questions like; are these cramps ever going to go away, or when does the bleeding stop? Or will it ever stop? Over time you learned that having your period once a month was just a 'glorious' part of being a woman and with time came understanding of how things worked. During that time your emotions were running haywire because all-of-a-sudden there was this surge of hormones your body hadn't had to deal with before. Menopause is a lot like that time, only now instead of an incredible increase of estrogen, your body is experiencing the opposite.
Menopausal State

Generally, a woman will begin to feel the effects of menopause during their late 40's to early 50's. During this time we may experience symptoms such as hot flashes, low sex drive, and vaginal dryness. You can cure your vaginal dryness by increasing your androstenedione, testosterone and estrogen. The herbal way to do this would be to get on a clean regimen of herbs such as Suma, Cistanche, and Morinda. (SEE: Vaginal Dryness Herbal Formula) These natural herbs will help to remedy your vaginal dryness and replenish the endocrine system. They do this by restoring hormone production to its proper capacity. Essentially, this formula will restore your vagina to a comfortably moist state while improving its elasticity.
Vaginal Exercises

A few kegels never hurt anybody and I believe that pairing this exercise with the herbal remedy might be just what you need to get those juices flowing again. If you've never done a kegel, they're really easy as pie. The next time you're taking a restroom break try controlling the flow of your urine. If you can stop and start by bearing down on your pelvic muscles, you'll have no problem kegeling with the best of them.
