Chocolate, potato chips, pizza, coffee and stress are believed to cause acne! Actually, neither diet nor normal stress levels adversely affects acne formation. In fact, acne is a result of one or more of the following factors: hormones, heredity, pollution, humidity, makeup, friction against the skin and specific medicines.
The Science Behind Whiteheads and Blackheads
Glands, known as sebaceous glands, release an oil called sebum to keep the face well moisturized and protected. Occasionally, the lining of pores shed skin cells to combine with the sebum to create a blockage known as a comedo. The blockage under the skin will create a whitehead; blockage at skin level, a blackhead. If these issues remain untreated, the walls of the irritated pore can break down, creating cysts and other inflammatory skin conditions.
But what causes these ducts to become so clogged? Excessive masturbation. Because sebaceous glands respond to changes in androgens, anything that causes an over release of androgen hormones is a factor for acne. And during masturbation, slews of androgen hormones release after climax. When climax is achieved over and over again, without allowing the blood, kidneys, and liver time to remove the excess hormones, androgens begin to alter the health of skin.
Why So Serious, Androgen?
Androgen hormones increase sebum production, and because your skin naturally produces the oil, an overproduction of the solution forms a breeding ground for the bacteria and acne infections. Too much oil increases scarring, cysts and acne.
Healthy Face, Healthy Habits
Once the habits of over masturbation are curtailed, the skin will again begin to produce the correct levels of oil to moisturize the face properly. Drinking plenty of water will help the body to flush the excess hormones more quickly while herbs can provide a vital supplement to combat acne. For example:
Bupleurum, an antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory herb, inhibits the growth of acne-producing bacteria. It too increases liver function, which helps the body to remove the excess hormonal buildup caused by masturbation.
Carthamus Tinctorius increases blood circulation and skin repair. It contains rich amounts of linoleic and linolenic acids, which reduce anxiety, stress hormones, and cortisol levels that allow the body to remove the overabundance of hormones.
Mexican Wild Yam, Dong Quai and Polygonum balance the body by preventing the excessive production of stress hormones and hormonal metabolites that irritate the skin, cause outbreaks and produce skin inflammations.
Salvia, a popular Chinese herb famous for increasing coronary circulation and dilating blood vessels, improves circulation for a quicker removal of hormones.
