Five Ways To Delay an Orgasm - OR “How I Let Her Know I Care”

It takes the average woman about 12 to 14 minutes to reach her sexual climax; it takes the average man two to three minutes to reach his! This climax differential presents a problem for partners--a huge, embarrassing problem. Ladies, we’re not being selfish or inconsiderate. It just happens. And trust me, we’ve all tried the cliché distractions, from thinking about baseball to grandma in a tube top (okay, maybe not a cliché). But do these mental exercises really work?

Try as you might, an early release may happen. For whatever odd reason, a male was designed to orgasm before a woman. You could say that this urgency was built into the pesky Y chromosome of the species to ensure our survival. So, maybe it’s a good thing. After all, if you were to give a woman enough time, she could sober up and realize the horrible mistake she’s made. But for those of us who aren’t as worried that a woman will run away screaming when the lights come on, here are a few things that can be done to please and to satisfy our partners:

Tip #1: Play it Cool; Age Affects Climax Control.

An older,  more experienced man has had time to figure out what delays his ejaculations. And with age comes the familiarity of sexual situations that feel more relaxed and comfortable. Teens and young men, however, tend to experience general anxiety or nervousness about sex, especially when being with someone new!  And remember, the sight--and especially the touch--of a naked woman is a billion times more intense than your “alone time” with your hidden stash of digital videos!

The ability to relax during sex goes a long way. Realize that it isn’t a competition or a test of your manhood. Once you get comfortable in your own skin (and hers), you’ll be able to enjoy the moment and your fears and anxieties will pass.

Tip #2: The Joy of… Masturbation?

Another problem with youth – but also a huge factor at any age – is masturbation. Let’s face it. You’ve just discovered the wonderland that is your body and the rides are FREEEEE!! The problem arises when you take too many turns. How? Masturbation exposes your body to what feels good, and it trains the body to orgasm faster.

I’m not asking you to stop masturbating. What’s the point of living if that were the case? What I AM asking you to do is to make sure you don’t over do it. Excessive masturbation makes your penis too sensitive, weakening the parasympathetic nerves responsible for ejaculation control and erectile strength. Over masturbation also depletes your body’s resources of hormones and nutrients. You think sperm just magically appears? Well, sometimes it does, huh? But most times, the ingredients needed by your body to produce your demon seeds are also needed for other sexual and bodily functions. Regulating how much you use can go a long way from preventing an ejaculation.

Tip #3: Health and Diet… Boring?

Your age and health also affect your sexual abilities. Every one reaches a point in their lives when their bodies begins to slow down and the risks for certain health concerns rise. Men have to worry about their prostates as they pass the age of 40; fatty foods and genetics may make blood pressure an issue; a low production of testosterone due to age or diet may be a factor; or an imbalance of hormones due to hyperthyroidism or some other hormonal condition may increase orgasm responsiveness. By ensuring your good health, you may just add a few more minutes to your bedroom escapades.

If you already have health problems, i.e. diabetes, high cholesterol or depression, the medications you take for these issues may reduce your sexual endurance, as well as lower libido and weaken erections. Besides prescription and over-the-counter medications, illegal drugs, such as marijuana, cocaine and Ecstasy, can take the wind out of your sails and lead to impotence, a diminished sex drive and ejaculation control issues.

Lastly, be aware that exercise and diet can affect your time in the sheets. For example, caffeine shortens your endurance during intercourse, while large amounts of red meat and fatty foods can negatively affect sexual health. Even weight gainers and testosterone boosters for body builders and exercise enthusiasts can ruin your ejaculation control. So control your diet and regulate your exercise – it helps more than your general health, if you know what I mean!

Tip #4: EASY Techniques and Exercises

If you’re looking for a more proactive approach to delaying orgasms, then the best thing to do is to train yourself to control the point of ejaculation. Like a reflex reaction, your body has the instinct to orgasm when stimulated. Techniques can prevent an ejaculation, such as the Natural Ejaculation Control Technique that controls breathing and meditative efforts to endure physical stimulation.

While the Masters and Johnson’s Squeeze Method teaches you how to find "the point of no return" and how to avoid it.

Tip #5: Herbal Products and Drugs, Dude!

Perhaps the easiest and most effective way to give you that extra endurance during sex is by taking herbal supplements. Your body loses a lot of nutrients, chemicals and hormones throughout the normal course of the day.

Extracurricular activities like masturbation and sex further drain your body’s resource of these essential building blocks. Herbs offer a fast and simple way to replenish essential materials and to provide extra energy. The added benefit of improving your general vitality and positive effects on health problems make supplements a natural choice for better healing.

Dietary supplements further aid orgasm delay by strengthening the nerves responsible for ejaculation control. These nerves are responsible for a hard erection and can be weakened by the friction of excessive masturbation and neurotransmitters that are insufficient due to improper diet and drug intake. By nourishing and fortifying these nerves, you can dramatically increase your sexual stamina.
