Myth #1

Erectile Dysfunction is a Natural Part of Aging.

There is a higher incidence of Erectile Dysfunction among older men because of age-related conditions, including vascular disease, diabetes and medications for these conditions. Although it mainly affects older men, it also occurs in younger males. Erectile Dysfunction should not be considered a natural or acceptable part of the ageing process. In other words, just because one is getting older does not mean that they should have Erectile Dysfunction.

Myth #2

Impotence Means Loss of Interest In Sex and Lack of Sterility.

In most cases, affected men retain the desire and the ability to have an orgasm and ejaculate. Erectile Dysfunction (impotence) means having difficulty sustaining and maintaining erections, not a loss of interest in sex, sterility, or a lack of strength, vigor or power. If anything, Erectile Dysfunction has a psychological toll on men and that could affect anything mental – including stimulation or interest.

Myth #3

Real Men Can Get An Erection Whenever They Want.

Teenage males get erections frequently and easily. Often, just thinking about sex or a woman is enough for arousal. In fact, tight jeans alone can cause an erection with just minimal physical stimulation of the genital area. This stage of hyper-sexuality is usually due to testosterone, the male sexual hormone that increases during adolescence to its highest levels. As we get older, the levels decline. So do our levels of dopamine, a neurotransmitter involved in excitation and sexual desire.

However, most adult men expect (or hope) to have the same type of erections throughout their lives. As men get older, it usually doesn't turn out that way. A number of factors have to be in place in order to get a normal, healthy erection. The man has to be stimulated and relaxed, but more often than not, they need the sort of additional support that’s promoted by Chinese Herbs and Oriental Techniques.

Myth #4

Real Men Can Maintain An Erection For As Long As They Want.

Three out of ten men are premature or fast ejaculators. Most men, beyond their teenage years, cannot get an immediate second erection after having just ejaculated. Many men, once intercourse begins, reach a climax before their partners are ready to have an orgasm.

Myth #5

Most Cases of Erectile Dysfunction Are Psychologically Based.

Seventy to ninety percent of men suffering from Erectile Dysfunction have an underlying physical cause for their impotence, although psychological factors may also play a role. Erectile Dysfunction is a medical condition often caused by other health problems, including diabetes, cardiovascular conditions and trauma.
