Sources

Grows in many parts of China. In Fall collect seeds from the dried part cut from the explored part from the ground of the plant. Use raw of cooked.

Effects

Experiments indicate that Cuscuta can excite the uterus muscles of the experimental animals, and also can improve the contraction of heart.

9 – 15gm.

Precautions

This herb mainly use to tonify the body, it is not considered to use for a person with constipation or deep red color urination.

Interesting facts

A young guy was hired to look after a farmer’s bunnies. Accidentally, one day, he broke the spine of one bunny, he hid it in a field of soybean plants in order not to let the employer knows. At this time, he started watching what the rabbit was eating and noticed that it consumed only seeds of a parasitic plant living on the soybean plants. The young man started to pick the seeds of this plant and decocted them for his father to drink who has suffering severe back pain. Soon afterwards, his father’s backache was cured. The herb has been known “bunny’ seed” ever since.
