Today I suddenly became a millionaire. I will never eat Chinese food on a trip, mainly because I am afraid that it won't be authentic. Middle Eastern food is hard to find, but when you do find it, it's delicious! The hotel and cab driver recommended a nearby Chinese restaurant that was good, so we went there. When we saw the bill, we almost cried out: "Too expensive! Right?" But then we realized that this was in Lebanese currency--a bowl of rice was only 82 cents! 

What was particularly interesting was that during lunch, a young lady from the next table of about seven or eight Asian people came over and asked us what we had ordered. It looked so delicious! She said she thought I looked like a Korean and wanted to exchange ideas. The woman said that she had suffered a miscarriage during her short stay in Lebanon and felt that God had called her to move here to help the local people who were suffering here mainly as a missionary. Within two months of her arrival, she was pregnant again! She and her husband--both Korean-Americans--were teaching English at universities in Shenzhen and Henan before the epidemic. Then he spoke with us alone again; His strong recommendation of the Lord Christ for his growth made us wonder a bit if their desire to find out what we ordered was just an excuse or if they really wanted to know.
