Who Are You Calling “Hormonal”?!?

Women displaying rapid, extreme mood swings are called “hormonal” as well, especially during estrus.  All in all, most people tend to equate “hormones” with “emotions, imbalanced expressions of” and leave it at that.
Hormones are critically important to many bodily functions beyond moods.  One, prostaglandin e-2, causes your blood vessels to dilate. However, if too much of this hormone remains in your system for too long, the tissues around the blood vessels can swell up, reducing the tissues' access to nutrient supplies and waste-removal. Excessive prostaglandin e-2 levels are a textbook sign of sexual exhaustion.
I Don't See Any Damage
Hormones activate and sustain your erection, but they are only one possible part of the problem. You may also have scar tissue or plaque lining the blood vessels in your genitals, known as arteriosclerosis. If the term sounds familiar, it's because you're used to hearing it in reference to the blood vessels in your heart or brain. But please bear in mind that it can happen to the blood vessels in any part of your body, including your eyes and penis. Frequently seen in conjunction with tissue-swelling due to excessive prostaglandin e-2 levels, they can result in a very low limit of the amount of blood that can get to the spongy tissues inside your penis that form your erections. So when your corpus cavernosum and corpus spongiosum don't get enough blood, your erection can’t reach full size or last as long.
Ease Back On The Fun Stuff
Finally, your erections might also be suffering from all those fun-but-bad-for-you things like alcohol and recreational pharmaceuticals. Yes, they can facilitate a “party mood” and even make the possibility of sex more likely, but they can and do interfere with sexual activity by affecting the quality of your erections. Even if you're only consuming the highest-quality stuff of your chemical of choice, consuming too much of it for too long will reduce your enjoyment of it, and may even affect your sexual performance.
Getting Back To The Way Things Were
To strengthen your erections, you may want to go on a “sex-fast” of minimal or no sex (including masturbation) for around three weeks. This will allow your body to repair a lot of any internal damage that may be affecting your erections, and to re-stock the nutrients necessary to support your erections.
Speaking of nutrients, you would also be wise to improve your diet, with specific reference to increasing your zinc and B-Complex intake. Properly-cooked oysters' reputation as an aphrodisiac stems from their rich supply of zinc; if that's not to your taste, you might also consider toasted wheat-germ.  Shellfish, whole grains and leafy green vegetables are excellent sources of B-vitamins. There are plenty of other foods that provide these nutrients; do your own research, experiment with new recipes and see what happens.
You should also set up a moderate exercise program to help boost your natural testosterone levels, which will also fuel your erections. Look for somewhat entertaining exercises that don't hurt too much, but which still make you break a sweat, so that you'll have an easier time convincing yourself to stick with it.
