I have started masturbating when I was about 11 years old at the recommendation of older friends. How does one strike up the conversation about masturabtion and get their other friend to do it? I don't think that's a custom here in the US. Must have been some foreign country because I have read some crazy sex stories from foreign countries that seem unreal but they are. Some crazy people out there.
