Mild Chunky Salsa – A Good Way To Consume Lots Tomatoes For Healthy Prostate

While the term "salsa" simply translates as "sauce" in the Italian and Spanish languages (both countries apply the word "salsa" to nearly all sauces, from a rich creamy white to brown gravy), it is the thought of a spicy blend born out of tomato and chili pepper placed by a basket of tortilla chips on a table at a Mexican restaurant that usually comes to mind.

Like its American counterpart in ketchup, salsa’s appeal is universal enough to be added to any dish. It makes the perfect topping to almost anything you can put on your plate. A healthy anytime snack that is easy to whip up and have around the dinner table, an office potluck, or at a party, this fresh salsa recipe can start up a batch of your favorite chili or hold its own as a perfect party dish when accompanied by tortilla chips, quesadillas, and/or nachos.

Add this Salsa to nacho dishes and bean dips or serve over cooked or grilled meat, chicken, or fish. If you want to get creative, enhance and adjust this recipe to your liking by adding Mint, Jalapenos, Pineapple, Tomatillos, cooked Tomatoes, Mango, Black Beans, Yellow Peppers, Anaheim Chilies, and Bell Peppers (Red, Green, Orange, and Yellow).

Tomato contains amounts of lycopene proven to support the prostate. It provides good nutrition for your health and is great when taken in combination with other herbal prostate supplements.

The advantage to making your own Salsa is that you will save money, and you probably won't ever go back to buying store-bought Salsas again. The secret to creating the perfect salsa is always using fresh oils, vegetables, and storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for two or more hours. This will allow the flavors to meld together in perfect harmony. Don't serve this Salsa immediately - the flavors will be lost. Let it sit and yours will be a Salsa to remember.

You can even double or triple the quantity and divide the large batches into smaller, more-storable portions by pouring them into small, airtight containers and freezing them for future use. This will save you future trips to the grocery store and extra time preparing and making it again.

Another secret for making the perfect Salsa is to finely chop and rinse raw onion pieces (rinsing helps to mellow the onion's strong taste and smell, preventing any aftertaste), then sprinkle these chopped pieces with citrus juice (such as Lemon juice, Orange juice, or Lime juice) before combining them with the other Salsa ingredients.

You can even mix in a splash of Light Tequila or Dark Rum for an unexpected dimension of flavor that will make your Salsa the talk of the town.
