Lindera Radix - The multi-faceted medicinal herb

Lindera Radix is one of nearly a hundred Lauraceae flowering plant species of the Lindera genus. Although it’s primary native origin is of Asia, there are at least three species present in eastern North America.
 
Lindera Radix are shrubs and small trees from which the dry roots that contain a number of potent agents such as alkaloids, volatile oils and sesquiterpene esters are often used by Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners.
