Question:

Dr. Lin:

I do not usually have a problem with impotence, but I get weak to no orgasms. I suffer from premature ejaculation and leak seminal fluid when I am aroused. Also, after I ejaculate it takes hours to recuperate. Currently, I only ejaculate maybe once a week but will pick up in my relationship once we start having sex. I USED to smoke marijuana but do not anymore. I used to masturbate every day from the young age of about 13. I would like to know what would help me.

Answer:

Both marijuana and over-masturbation could have led to your ejaculation problems, even if you've already stopped doing both. The reason being, you may have weakened your parasympathetic nervous system. Penile erections continuously consume energy. For men with weak parasympathetic sexual nerves, 20-30 minutes of foreplay can drain that energy. Long foreplay requires a powerful testosterone burst that burns continuously to charge the parasympathetic erection circuit. Once the bioelectric voltage in the parasympathetic nerve runs low, the penis will become limp and a man will ejaculate upon penetration or after a few strokes, known as premature ejaculation.

There are many causes for seminal leaking and premature ejaculations, including psychological problems, over-masturbation or ejaculation, drug or alcohol use, cigarettes, arteriosclerosis, a history of sexually transmitted disease, high blood pressure, and hormonal imbalances such as low levels of thyroid hormone.

Testicular stimulation during intercourse can help the testosterone burst to increase the penile power and combat seminal leakage and premature ejaculation. But for the long term, health supplements such as Power E for older men or LastLonger III for younger men can improve erections by generating more natural testosterone as fuel for the parasympathetic sexual nerve. If the ejaculation control valve nerve is undercharged, you will feel your prostate become very unconformable and irritated after ejaculating. So it is recommended during the intake of Power E or Last Longer III to stop or decrease the frequency of ejaculation, allowing the ejaculation control valve to build strength.

A number of herbs can aid in the prevention of seminal leakage. Rehmannia root powder is used to enhance sexual performance as well as to replenish vitality, strengthen the liver, kidney, and heart, and for treatment of a variety of ailments like diabetes, anemia, and urinary tract problems. Horny goat weed boosts libido, increases testosterone, and protects the body against the effects of stress. Schizandra is a berry that calms frazzled nerves. Lycium fruit helps improve circulation. Flattened milkvetch seed helps control seminal emissions.
