Question:

Hello. I am 18 yrs-old and have run into a problem as a result of something that happened to me a few years ago. One of the first times I was having sex, I heard a crack in the bottom left part of my penis. While it hurt a lot, I was still able to achieve erection regularly afterward. I thought I was ok as after the accident. I had many, many erections and achieved orgasm with no problem. However, recently I took a Viagra pill just to see "how good it was." While I was able to achieve a solid erection and have long lasting, impressive sex, the following days afterward I felt pain in the part of my penis that had "broken" so long ago. I think the intensity of the erection/orgasm may have made more scar tissue grow. While after this happened I was still able to achieve an erection, I had some aching in my penis/scrotum seemingly associated with the "break." Now I think that the scar tissue has fully healed thicker, as the pain is gone, but I find I can no longer achieve an erection AT ALL. Even if I take another Viagra pill I can only achieve a pathetically weak erection at most that quickly goes away. When I am sexually aroused the feeling quickly goes away and I am limp, no sensation in the penis although my mind still says "Give me sex." It is very frustrating.

What do you recommend? Is surgery an option here or will that just make more scar tissue? I have my whole life ahead of me and am currently involved with a loving girl who I just want to make happy but find I can't. She won't wait around for me forever. If you honestly think your products can help me, I am willing to try. I am falling in love with this girl, and I need her to know how strongly I feel about her in the bed too! Also please tell me how long you think it will take for your products to show effect in breaking down the scar tissue/increasing blood flow for erection again. Please help!! Thank you.

Answer:

You could certainly have experienced your erectile dysfunction as a result of your penile fracture. But it is rather odd that you had no symptoms for several years. I still think it's worth addressing what happens with a penile fracture and what you can do to heal it. Also, you need to be aware of the dangers of taking erectile drugs like Viagra. Since your problems started with Viagra, it might be wise to examine this issue a little closer.

A penis becomes erect when the lining of the cylinder in the penis becomes engorged with blood. A penis fracture can occur when there is trauma to the erect penis, resulting in rupture of the cylinder lining. This very painful injury is often accompanied by an audible cracking sound, followed immediately by dark bruising of the penis due to blood escaping the cylinder. In ten to thirty percent of penis fractures, the urethra is damaged and blood may be visible at the urinary opening of the penis.

The most common cause of penile injury is sexual intercourse, accounting for about 30%-50% of cases. Woman-on-top positions resulting in impact against the female pelvis or perineum and bending laterally are most common. Another cause is physical manipulation of the penis to remove an erection.

A bruised penis is painful but is not a huge problem if it can become erect within a few days. However, a penile fracture is generally considered a medical emergency, and emergency medical surgical repair is the usual treatment. Prompt surgical repair of a penis fracture is usually successful. If untreated, the injury may result erectile dysfunction, permanent penile curvature, damage to the urethra, and pain during sexual intercourse.

Dietary supplementation is a healthy and effective means of treatment. Gotu kola is an Indian herb used good for healing skin and connective tissue. L-carnitine is an amino acid shown to reduce penis curvature. Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) heals abnormal fibrous tissue. Vitamin E improves curvature when taken orally. Ashwagandha and schizandra ensure potency. Damiana is good for improving blood flow to the genital area. Sarsaparilla contains a testosterone-like substance for men. Wild yam contains natural steroids that rejuvenate and give vigor to lovemaking. Yohimbe bark expands the blood vessels in the penis, increases blood flow and nitrous oxide, which is important for achieving an erection.

To prevent penis injury, it is highly recommended not to experiment with sexual or masturbatory activity that puts the erect penis at risk for fracture. In addition, when playing sports, it is always advisable to wear an athletic supporter to protect the genitals.

Serious adverse side effects of Viagra are persistent erection (priapism), severe hypotension, myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias, stroke, and increased intraocular pressure, while common side effects include sneezing, headache, flushing, dyspepsia, palpitations and photophobia. It is best to stay away from erectile dysfunction drugs and treat the underlying causes of your condition.
