First of all, I don't have any problems having orgasms and if need be, I can get more than one full vaginal orgasm even though I experience the dryness. I am 49 yrs old and have been perimenupausal for a few years now. I was suffering tremendously with the mood swings for years and finally tried St. John's Wort and a little therapy to work out real issues.

Dear Dr. Lin,
I could just say my problem is vaginal dryness and leave it at that, but that’s only what I'm currently aware of. I need to give you a few details so you can help me decide which products I should purchase and if any type of exercise would be helpful. I'm noticing now though that my urges are not as powerful as they used to be and I think its a result of depression because I have been depressed for many reasons including a recent break up. I was not aware of my vaginal dryness for quite sometime because I don't masturbate all the time. However, this recent relationship I had, the man couldn't get an erection and he was shocked and embarrassed and so to combat his embarrassment, he immediately asked me why I didn't "get wet", which made me self-conscious. Now the very short relationship I had before him. A year prior, I had no problem with dryness in fact, its never happened before. Since that time, when I masturbate, I notice at times I would get a little moist, but not nearly as much as I used to.
A few other points to mention, because they need to be taken into consideration in assessing this whole thing. First of all, I was widowed at 30 yr old and did not have sex, date or anything for 15 years. Dedicating myself to my kids at the time. Since that point, I manage to get one boyfriend per year and have sex actually once a year. Believe me, it’s not my choice but finding the “right” person is difficult. I am extremely sexual, sensuous, and quite seductive. I love and enjoy sex, am not hung up or "ashamed" as some women are. Anyway the point is that I experience quite a bit of celibacy, which I figure must have some affect on this dryness.
Finally, I am and have been for years on medication for Chron's disease. Mainly, it’s an immunosuppressant. I think its important to let you know that as well so when advising me on what formulation to order you will consider that I don't want anything that would have an adverse affect due to the fact that I am on this medication and I have a history of G.I. problems so I must be careful what I ingest. Currently, I am using Don Quai, and St. Johns Wort. Please advise me in lieu of all the information I've given so I can make the best choice. Also "Penso" the ingredients seem kind of gross to me so please if there is a substitute that would work as well please let me know.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this
Dr Lin’s Response:
We have a complete Natural Hormone Replacement Therapeutic product called ViaGrowth IV for men and women. This product is derived from a thousand-year old Chinese Emperor/Empress formula, but we replace the original animal glandular extracts by the natural biochemical substances and tonic herbal extracts. It is suitable for vegetarians as well.
