We have read much information in different magazine and book articles that performing kegels is strongly recommended for men to start performing; My main reason for wanting to do this is (I am 40) that I want to have a firmer erection as in my earlier years.
It seems that sometimes, health trends rely too much on hype. One such recent trend that might be more damaging than helpful is Kegel exercises.
Kegel Exercises can cause premature ejaculation for some men. The reason is that contraction of the prostate muscle triggers the prostate's sympathetic nerve to induce an ejaculation.
Men tend to contract the prostate muscle to stimulate the prostate to assist the erection if they feel that their erection is not hard enough. A long-term practice of this exercise will help the muscle to develop more testosterone, DHT and oxytocin receptors. These hormone receptors make men and women achieve an orgasm more easily, in addition to the erection of the penis, clitoris and G-spot, due to the fact that there are more hormones trapped in the sex organs. This is good news for women, but bad news for men since this means that they will be more prone to premature ejaculation.
If you understand the role of the parasympathetic neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) and the erection neurotransmitter nitric oxide (NO) in the erection of the penis, you won't want to have too much testosterone get burned to DHT in your prostate. You should let the testosterone burning happen in your penile and tailbone tissues to maximize your erection and prolong sex for more than 45 minutes without ejaculation. Performing Kegel exercises will instead create and trap DHT in your prostate.
I suggest you practice the tailbone muscular exercise (Anal Breathing Method) and LastLonger III, instead of Kegel Exercise, to channel the sexual energy from the prostate back to the brain via the spinal cord and the Governing Vessel of the acupuncture network. This method can make men last more than 60 minutes and does what the Kegel exercises are supposed to do; make erections firmer and last longer.
However, you must have a natural erection in the first place to measure that you have sufficient ACh and NO in your system to produce the erection dilator cGMP. Then the testosterone burning in the penile tissues and tailbone muscles can power up the penis to an extreme size that blocks nervous transmission of the sexual stimulation from the glans penis to the prostate. To power up your penis, it requires a dual action and interaction from the brain-testicular action and the parasympathetic ACh->NO->cGMP action.
Kegel exercises won’t accomplish that feat. The exercises can be more damaging than helpful.
