I got married Feb. 10. My husband tried to have intercourse. As soon as he inserts, I feel lot of pain and he is not able to get full penetration so he is getting dejected. What should I do to have a successful sex life? I consulted a lady doctor and she checked up by inserting a finger in my vagina and said everything is normal.

The penetration pain (also known as Vaginismus) is a result of vaginal muscle spasm. The spasm, like that happens in the lower rear leg muscle, results from the inelasticity or flexibility of vaginal tissues.

The common causes of the problem are:
